Marieta Sotirova

Marieta Sotirova is an oil painter, based in Southampton. She studied Fine Art in National School of Arts, Varna, Bulgaria, specialising in painting. However she choose a different career path for herself and worked as an Architect untill 2016. In 2022, she decided to go back to her art journey and slowly become a full time artist. Marieta is inspired by the surrounding world, light and colours. She spends equal amounts of time working in her studio and outside, capturing whatever grabs her attention. Painting challenges are her way to improve and discover new territories.

Since the beginning of 2022 Marieta runs weekly classes, occassional workshops and art demonstrations. As a painter she works in a contemporary and expressive style. She likes to experiment and always searches for a better way to create.

Marieta works in oils for demonstrations, and oils and acrylics for workshops.
