Jamie Poole

Hello, I’m Jamie Poole; an artist, illustrator, and teacher based in the UK. For me, art is about sharing stories - whether that’s a glimpse of wildlife in the Nene Valley, the gentle rhythms of rural life, or the poetry and scripture that inspire so much of what I do. My creative practice blends painting, collage, and digital illustration to create work that’s colourful, meaningful, and rooted in my love for nature and words.

Much of my work draws on the landscapes and wildlife of the British Isles. I’m especially inspired by poetry (John Clare is a favourite), and I often weave lines of verse or scripture into my collages, adding another layer for people to discover. My faith is a big part of my creative journey, and I hope my art offers encouragement and a sense of wonder to those who see it.

I also love teaching and believe art is for everyone, no matter your experience. I run in-person classes and online sessions via Zoom, where we explore all sorts of materials and subjects, from lively wildlife, peaceful landscapes and engaging portraits. My classes are friendly, supportive, and all about enjoying the process together.

You’ll find my work at art fairs, on Etsy, and through my website. I offer everything from wildlife prints and art crosses to greeting cards and commissioned portraits. I’m always up for a chat at events - my enthusiasm tends to spill over!

Subjects: My artwork explores themes of wildlife, the British landscape, poetry, and spirituality, often weaving together nature-inspired imagery with narrative and reflective elements.
