Tutored by Michael Webster, a professional artist with a vast experience of many branches of creative art, who with his wife Anna offer a unique painting holiday experience at their home Toynton Lodge - a listed Georgian house set between the Lincolnshire Wolds and the sea.

The Courses:

We can give you the chance to expand your artistic interests, with Michael’s help, by offering you the chance to try out different mediums without committing yourself to the expense of buying the materials - we have watercolours, oils and alkyds, acrylics, pastels and a wide variety of graphic mediums for you to try, and of course the relevant supports and equipment.

As regards subject matter,our location with open country reached directly from the house, our nearness to The Wolds - with its far reaching views and undisturbed countryside - officially an area of outstanding natural beauty, the many small villages and market towns, the sea about 10 miles away and our garden, there is a whole lifetime of painting subjects available. We have a comfortable people carrier, allowing us to take clients and equipment along with lunch and drinks out for the day - sometimes out to our beach hut on the coast or out to some of the many painting locations around the area.

Accommodation

The Captains Cabin - with three quarter bed and en-suite bathroom, television and radio, tea and coffee facilities, for one person or two close friends.

The Country Room - two single beds, private bathroom, television, DVD and radio, tea and coffee.

The Georgian Room - with double bed, vanitory unit, shared bathroom, television and tea and coffee.

Residents Lounge - with log fire in season, television, library of books relating to art, the countryside and the locality.

Studio - available at any time outside of tuition sessions.

We pride ourselves on the quality and variety of our food, offering in addition to our menus featuring local beef, lamb, sausages, cheeses and vegetables, we cater for vegans, vegetarians, vegequarians, coeliacs and those who are lactose intolerant. We source most of our ingredients locally and we have our own hens and do not knowingly use any genetically modified ingredients.

Booking your holiday

Our standard week end course starts at 2.00 pm on Friday afternoon until 5.30pm on Sunday afternoon - the total cost for a week end or a two night mid-week break is £230.00 per person which includes:

• accommodation
• demonstrations and personal tuition
• dinners with wine
• all meals and drinks
• transport during the holiday
• use of art materials, if required

Holidays of any length can be arranged to suit the client’s requirements.

Non Painting partners are welcome to enjoy a relaxing 2 night break with pleasant walks, nearby fishing and golf in an interesting area at £125.00 per person.

We also offer week-long holidays with tuition on five days and full board all week at £450.00 per person.
