With a lifetime as a professional artist, Tony is well known for his relaxed and easy style of teaching and demonstrating. His vast knowledge of media and techniques is freely shared with all wishing to develop their artistic talent.

Recognised for his stunning seascapes and landscapes (although experience and happy to paint any subject) he trained at Bradford Regional College of Art in the early 60’s. His teaching experience started whilst at college and later included degree level tutoring for the Open College of the Arts. For many years he has worked as a demonstrator for international art manufacturers and distributors. Made several appearances as a demonstrator on television and is a regularly writer for leading art magazines. His work has been exhibited at numerous local and national exhibitions throughout the years and is hung in private collections around the world.

For over three decades Tony and his wife Eileen have organising and run art holiday courses in the U.K. 2020 brings the opportunity to join Tony in his home studio in Cornwall, and the Cober Hill Hotel, Scarborough.

Now living and working from his home studio in Cornwall, where for or over a century artists have drawn, inspired by its spectacular unspoiled coastline, its unique translucent light, and warmed by the Gulf Stream. Here they will continue to offer 4 or 5 day courses. Located in the delightful north coast town of Wadebridge they offer art holidays for groups of up to six participants. See web site here for more information.

Tony frequently gives demonstrations and workshops to art societies across the whole of the United Kingdom, and at major trade shows for art material manufacturers and suppliers. With his unique position of working with several leading art materials manufacturers he is sometimes able to provide the media for your days workshop.
