Sue is an experienced pastel and water colour artist, born in Yorkshire. Her remarkable artistic abilities were evident from an early age, having experimented with almost every conceivable media in her development.

She is now a recognised and admired artist who demonstrates and teaches weekly in adult education classes and on her ever popular weekend workshops and residential holidays in pastel, watercolour and other mediums.

Living in North Yorkshire, Sue loves the wide range of subjects on her doorstep from quaint fishing villages to the dramatic North Yorkshire Moors. Recent work includes paintings from recent trips to Venice, Tuscany and Greece.

Her work is exhibited widely through local and national exhibitions and galleries, and also at The Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) and the Society of Women Artists in Mall Galleries, London. Sue is a professional member of the SAA.

Sue is available for demonstrations, workshops and commissions. With a natural ability to draw she can demonstrate a variety of subjects and will show students different painting techniques, explain about materials, the importance of composition and getting the best from your photos and sketches. Sue's main objective is to encourage students to achieve their goals and creative ideas.

Painting holidays The aim is to stretch all students regardless of ability, to form a foundation of artistic techniques whilst developing their own style in a relaxed learning environment. Each student will be guided through each painting stage carefully throughout the day from an initial demonstration to get you started, followed by patient, professional tuition throughout the holiday so that all paintings created by each student will inspire them with confidence to move forward in their own artistic direction in the future.
