orn 1950 in Torquay, South Devon. Norman was always interested in painting, drawing, and natural history.

On leaving college in 1969, he moved to the East Midlands, and spent many years working in the below the line advertising and point of sale display industry, working on designs of any thing from cosmetics to car parts, and hosiery to shop fronts.

In 1986 he decided to become a full time professional artist. At this time Normans work varied from Oil and Pastel Portraits (all commissioned) to Seascapes and landscapes. However it was his love of the countryside and natural history which convinced him to specialise in Wildlife and countryside subjects. Many of his wildlife paintings of game birds and wildfowl are commissioned and are held in private collections. His work has been exhibited and sold all over the U.K. and as far a field as Kenya and Australia. He has won many awards for his work, and has had a one man exhibition each year for the last four years.

Norman has a large studio in Lincolnshire where he holds workshops and lesson for all level of artists and he also runs a children art group on Saturday mornings for which there is a waiting list.
