Many Art Society members enjoy creating pictures as a hobby and this was the case with Graham until fifteen years ago when he quit work to make art his sole occupation. Primarily he is a watercolour artist but over the last few years he has developed an interest in acrylics which suits his loose style and gives him scope to produce larger canvases. He takes inspiration from the world around him both for his more traditional paintings and for his ever-popular cartoons. In the past few years he has had commissions for greeting card design, book illustrations and artwork for Company presentations and magazine advertising.
Anyone seeing Graham’s demonstrations will come away inspired to have a go. His easy and encouraging manner when working in watercolour, acrylic, line and wash or mixed media, shows how to produce a painting, giving tips and wrinkles to get those extra effects.
Based in the West Midlands Graham is available for demonstrations within a 50 mile radius of Birmingham.
