Watercolours, Acrylics, Line & Wash, Water Soluble oils, Mixed Media
Landscapes, Seascapes, Building, Cartoons

Many Art Society members enjoy creating paintings as a relaxing hobby and this was the case with Graham until twenty years ago when he quit work to make art his sole occupation. Originally a watercolour artist, having the time to devote full time to painting he began to see the exciting potential that other media could offer and now regularly works in acrylics, line and wash, water soluble oils and mixed media.

He takes inspiration from the world around him both for his more traditional paintings and his ever-popular cartoons. The differing media lend themselves to differing styles of working and produce quite different results appealing to different markets.

Over the years Graham has been commissioned to produce greeting card designs, book illustrations and artwork for Company presentations. He has also held many one-man exhibitions throughout the Midlands area.

Graham firmly believes that everyone can paint and anyone attending his demonstrations will come away inspired to have a go, his easy and encouraging manner shows how to produce a painting in the chosen medium, giving techniques, tips and wrinkles to get those extra effects.

Graham has been demonstrating for 10 years working quickly his loose style means that he can generally produce a completed painting within a two hour demonstration.

Based in the West Midlands, Graham is available for demonstrations within a 50 mile radius of Birmingham.
