David White

New Forest Scenes, Animal Portraits, Seascapes, Golf Scenes

After 30 years of being in finance, Dave White discovered he could paint, and recognising that we all have creative gifts inside us bursting to get out, he embarked on a new road of painting people's animals and teaching students how to do it. He exhibits annually at Crufts Dog Show and the New Forest Show, exhibited in the Kennel Club Gallery and has done numerous commissions all over the world. He is the artist in residence for the Rhinefield House Hotel near Lyndhurst and living in the New Forest in England allows an up-close encounter with a variety of animals, including horses and dogs whilst including Forestscapes and Sea and Sky in his repertoire. In 2015 his work was voted Best Professional in the Abstract and Experimental category of the Society for All Artists Artist of the Year annual competition.

"My lecturers would laugh to see that I had won something in Experimental art because I loved art at school but not modernism, so my grades reflected that and I switched to numbers and became an accountant. How many artists are there out there who were not encouraged to discover and develop their creative gift because they didn't "fit"? So I am now on a mission to encourage as many people I can to discover their gift in themselves. Mine's Painting – what's yours?"

Based in Hants, I am available for demonstrations and workshops within a 100 mile radius of New Milton.
