Landscape, Street Scenes, Perspective, Transport, Cars, Flowers

I started my career as an artist after finishing a four year course in illustration and design at Canterbury College of Art. I was able to start a succesful job as an illustrator and visualiser based in the South West, working full time for The Idea Works in Bath. Here I got a good grounding in the importance of speed and hitting deadlines that is all part of producing work in the advertising, 3D design and graphic design business. I later went to to freelance work in 1990, working for 25 years for design and advertising companies in the SW, London as well as Europe and mainly focusing on illustration work for toy and food packaging as well as visualising for advertising campaigns. I have taken on many projects working closely with designers.

Clients through design companies have included Hasbro (Transformers) , Mattel (Barbie), Saga, Cuprinol, Audi, Corgi Toy, St Ival, Craft, Burtons Biscuits, Dawes Bikes, Castrol Marine and The Lotto. Then later going on to publishing and illustrating for English Language books, magazines as well as the Guinness book of records in 2004.

In my demonstrations and workshops I will show how to draw perspective and apply colour in an easy fresh and fast way, concentrating on the importance of light and tone. I will also include mixing and the use of colour to achieve a realistic interpretation of any image or scene you would like to paint.

Based in the SW I am available for demonstrations within 80-100 miles of Frome in Somerset.
