Carole is a versatile and popular demonstrator and tutor, working in watercolour, water soluble pencils, pastels, pastel pencils, acrylics & mixed media. Her subjects include portraits, figures, animals, flowers and landscapes. Living in Suffolk, she is available for demonstrations and workshops in East Anglia and the Home Counties.

Some of Carole’s demonstrations and workshops in the last year include: “Ballet Dancers” and “Bluebell Woods”, in mixed media, “Animal Portrait” in Pastels, “A Rose” and “Elephant and Baby” in Inktense and Graphitint water soluble pencils, “Black American” in acrylics, “Mesky” in Pastels.

Carole was art school trained and has been a professional artist for over 40 years. Her most notable recent portrait was of Sir Charles Bean to mark his retirement as Deputy Governor of The Bank of England. Carole was invited to the unveiling in front of a distinguished audience at the Bank, where the painting now hangs. She has completed commissions in America, Hong Kong and France and has exhibited with the SWA at the Mall Galleries, London, and also in East Anglia.

She leads many courses for the Art in Aldeburgh and the Field Studies Council at Flatford Mill in Suffolk, The Old School Studio, Whittlesford in Cambs, at Dedham Hall, Art & Craft Studios, and at Watershed Studio in Essex. She also tutors painting holidays in France.

Carole is a contributor to the Leisure Painter magazine and has appeared on a number of regional TV arts programmes. As a best-selling author she has written books on how to use water soluble pencils, painting flowers in acrylics and figures in watercolours. Her book "Drawing Masterclass - PORTRAITS" is a bible for aspiring portrait artists and her latest book, Drawing for the Absolute Beginner has been extremely well reviewed. She has also contributed to two large compendium books on drawing techniques and acrylics. All are published by Search Press.
