Ali Cockrean is an expressionist landscape painter. Her paintings appear in collections across the world. Her career has been boosted by significant commissions and a national profile following the success of shows in London (Cork Street, The Mall Galleries, Mayfair, The Strand and Notting Hill) and regional galleries (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Bristol, Cornwall and Wales). Ali has also featured on BBC TV and radio, her most notable appearance taking place in 2012, when she was commissioned by BBC1 to paint the Queen's Diamond Jubilee River Pageant live from the Millennium Bridge.

Ali works exclusively in acrylic. A member of the National Acrylic Painters' Association (NAPA) and Buckinghamshire Art Society, she has a BA(Hons) degree, has studied at the Central St Martins College of Art and Design and Slade School of Fine Art, but considers her skills to have been largely self-taught.

Ali is a full-time professional working from her studio in Buckinghamshire. For many years she balanced a career in marketing and business with her passion for art, emerging in recent years as a respected and collectable artist.

Besides devoting time to her own painting, Ali is also passionate about working with aspiring artists: giving talks; demonstrating technique; tutoring adults and children as well as writing articles for national art publications.

Ali offers demonstrations, talks and workshops in the following subject areas:

Creative Techniques with Acrylics

Impressionistic Landscapes using Acrylics

Colour Mixing and Using a Limited Palette (Acrylics)
